Pat Ahl:

Pat Ahl, MSEd., LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor who holds a Masters of Science Degree in Counseling from the University of Dayton , and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Ohio University . She is licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapy Board. Pat devotes a significant portion of her time to ongoing training and seminars in order to continually grow and develop as a therapist. Her therapeutic style is integrative which means she draws from a host of theories to best serve her client rather than trying to fit her client to a certain approach. She has extensive training as a Humanistic Psychotherapist and is an EMDR Certified Therapist (EMDR). EMDR is a powerful therapy that has a direct effect on the way the brain processes information. Research has shown it to be an efficient and rapid treatment.

In addition, Pat worked in Corporate America for more than thirty years and has a first-hand knowledge of the challenges, issues, and rewards of that culture. When appropriate, she draws upon this knowledge and experience to help her clients develop personally and professionally.

She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA), and the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA).
